This is the one and only picture of my red silk gown at Ducal Prize Tourney in '97. The gown I am wearing was made of red silk and was based off a dress from the movie "La Reine Margot". Again, the two biggest characteristics of this dress, as with my earlier costumes is A) the boned bodice worn without a corset (and in this case, without a chemise) and B) very little basis in historical fact. It could be argued that this gown resembles a petticoat-bodies or kirtle more than anything, but that might be giving it too much credit. ;) Ultimately, the skirt became a shirt for an ex-boyfriend of mine and the bodice went to another friend who thought she could put it some use as part of her clubbing wardrobe.
