I thought I should add better pictures of the half boned stays and the matching petticoat. The petticoat is a simple gored skirt, and its attached at the waist of the stays with whip stitching (originally I'd planned to make the skirt attach with ribbons at the waist, and I may still do that... For now, though, this gets the job done).
